The first trip with Barnabas as the leader and senior person is without research or intelligence. The Jews totally reject the message of Jesus Christ as the Redeemer. But the message does find response from
Gentile god-fearers who believe in the monotheistic
god of the Jews.
Back in Antioch Paul uses the first trip as research, evaluates the markets and settles on a target market of the god-fearing Gentiles. He puts together a strategic marketing campaign using the 4Ps of marketing, Product, Place, Promotion and Price.
Here Barnabas leaves Paul after an argument. Paul starts his trip with Silas and soon takes on Timothy. They carry out a strategic marketing campaign in cities in Asia. This campaign goes as far east as Corinth before returning to Jerusalem.
He then sets out on a third journey that is an inspection and evaluation trip. He uses public preaching, counseling, miracles and letters to strengthen the faithful. Ending up in Corinth, he is making plans for a new campaign to Hispania.
